Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify social and emotional needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention plans aimed at improving social emotional health.
- Monitor and record student attendance, identifying patterns of chronic absenteeism or truancy.
- Investigate and address barriers to regular attendance in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall attendance rates.
- Assist with connecting students and families with community resources and services.
- Advocate for students' rights and well-being within the school community.
- Conduct outreach to families to provide support and resources for improving attendance.
- Collaborate with community agencies or organizations to enhance attendance efforts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (Social Work or a related field is preferred).
- Experience working in an educational setting or with school-aged children and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of community resources and services.
