Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the procurement and inventory of raw materials using Microsoft Dynamics NAV MRP
Conduct price analysis and negotiate with vendors for improved contract terms
Evaluate and track vendor performance and conduct meetings with low performers to drive improvement
Initiate purchase orders for procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other necessary goods
Ensure department records are accurate and purchasing documents are completed properly
Conduct inventory analysis to identify discrepancies in inventory counts and recommend disposal of excess or unused stock
Communicate with Corporate NAV MRP Team to ensure accuracy of individual inventory items and to make system adjustments
Save costs by working with plant operations to understand raw material yields and wastes
Work with quality assurance to conduct raw materials quality analysis to consistently meet standards
Maintain weekly and monthly reports (i.e., KPI scorecards, cost per can, aging)
Develop and maintain policies and SOPs that drive standardization and best practices

Qualifications
Associates or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, preferred
2-5 years’ experience procuring raw materials for food/feed manufacturing
MRP purchasing and inventory experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Microsoft Dynamics, preferred
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Knowledge of standard purchasing procedures and practices
