• Production Planner

    Job Description



    • Provide information needed to producuce weekly production schedules; data enter information as needed
    • Coordinate ship dates for jobs based on specific criteria such as: special metals, special buy-outs, customer-furnished items, requested ship date, etc.
    • Respond to questions from Production Supervisors regarding schedules, order submittals, drawings, drawing distribution, etc.
    • Respond to questions about job status and scheduling, including delivery status of sales orders
    • Provide month-end shortage as needed
    • Coordinate with management to schedule large or complex jobs
    • Facilitate production meetings and respond to delivery status questions. Communicate change orders and hot jobs to shop personnel.

    • Other duties as assigned



    • One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 2+ years production scheduler experience or equivalent
    • 2+ years TCF manufacturing experience preferred
    • Good communication skills including the ability to respond to inquiries from other internal departments, manufacturing personnel, or external customers 
    • Proficient in the use of standard software programs including data entry and typing.



    • Standard office environment
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
    • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach
    • Ability to work extended hours sitting at a computer



    While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals.  The noise level in the plant environment is usually loud.
