Hours: 40 hours per week
Reports to: Shelter Supervisor
Start Date: Immediately
Salary/Hourly Rate: $16/hour
Mission: To provide a safe and empowering environment for victims of domestic violence through advocacy, education, shelter, and family support services.
Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and/or equivalent experience

Basic knowledge, understanding and experience working with victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault is preferred

Good listener, self-motivated, team player

Ability to respond effectively to crises

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Communication and public speaking skills
Responsibilities:
-
Direct client services to include trauma informed care, advocacy, in-take, protection orders, and sexual assault.

Respond to emergency requests and/or needs by clients.

Document all interactions as required.

Maintain safety and security precautions.

Track and report donations received. Stock where required.

Crisis intervention and safety planning with clients/potential clients.

Complete room checks.
-
Shelter upkeep.
-
Rotate on-call duties as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.
Hours of work:
-
3pm - Midnight Monday through Friday; occasional weekends

Ability to adjust hours as needed to cover events and needs of the position
