    Job Description
    Full Time Employment Specialist - Assist people with finding competitive employment with local and rural area businesses and developing marketable employment skills.  Provide instruction in job readiness and job seeking skills.  Perform task analyses of specific jobs to identify required skills/abilities. Provide job coaching and on-the-job training. Provide or assist in transportation arrangements for people who need them. Assist with maintaining a cooperative relationship with area DRS counselors, job service, local and area schools, and other organizations to facilitate the procurement of employment opportunities.  Assist with the marketing plan to promote Career Connections services including conducting informational presentations for local and area groups, organizations, and professionals and establishing new employer contacts.

    Associates Degree in human services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Experience with vocational training and/or placement is preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with business persons, professionals, other staff, and people served. Travel required out of town to provide all necessary services. Must attend necessary trainings and become a CESP (Certified Employment Support Professional) within one year of employment.  Must be aware of and/or learn the various services available within the community, as well as state and federal resources.  

    Hours for this position are typically Monday-Friday 8am-5pm but may vary depending on the employment needs of the people being supported. To apply submit an online application with a resume attached.
