General Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage overall maintenance needs at all LifeQuest facilities, and assure routine maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Accept bids, coordinate and supervise building repair, lawn care, snow removal and mechanical systems maintenance from private contractors. Assist in the long range planning for the LifeQuest’s maintenance needs. Monitor and assist with maintenance, repair and improvements to LifeQuest facilities. To include, but not limited to: light plumbing and electrical repairs, interior and exterior painting, carpentry tasks, repair to walls, floors, and doors, hanging shelves, etc. and inspection and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems.
Supervisory Duties: Assist in the selection and training of maintenance employees. Assist with orientation and training of new employees. Coordinate and schedule work within the maintenance department.
Education: High School Diploma or GED and formal education or experience in the janitorial area with knowledge of buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicle repair preferred. Strong verbal and written skills, computer skills, and safe driving habits required.
Lifting requirements may exceed 50 lbs. on an occasional basis, and during emergency situations. Other physical activities may also include walking, pushing, carrying tools and equipment.
Typical hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with adjustments made to schedule for snow removal and emergency repairs.
