    We are excited to expand our sales department and are now accepting applications for Sales Manager at our 168,000 sq ft. cannery in Mitchell, SD.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      

    Maintain highest level of confidentiality, customer service, and professionalism to promote a positive image of the company

     

    Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners, brokers, and sales individuals

     

    Attend trade shows and visit customer sites to strengthen relationships and promote a positive company image

      

    Collaborate with other business leaders to drive continuous improvement and growth through market analysis

      

    Generate quotes, negotiate prices and contracts, and encourage additional sales with current and prospective customers

      

    Enter and document customer orders, communicating promptly to meet the needs and resolve issues of current and future accounts

      

    Attend sales meetings; offer insight in developing sales strategies/goals/forecasts to enhance long-term sales profitability

      

    Work with external marketing groups to promote current and new products

      

    Communicate with Director of Sales and Quality regarding sales opportunities

      

    Assist with merchandising and pricing goals in accordance with FUI guidelines

      

    Understand inventory and logistics of incoming materials and outgoing products

     

    Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal work load.
     

    Qualifications

     

    Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; or comparable years’ experience

     

    Experience managing domestic/international sales, customer service, or account management functions, preferred

     

    Pet food industry experience, highly desired

     

    Advanced written and verbal communication skills with excellent self-presentation and platform skills

     

    Strong sense of initiative and independent problem-solving with the ability to manage time and deadlines with little supervision

     

    High level of proficiency, accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality

     

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, and Outlook. Microsoft Dynamics NAV, a plus

     

    Travel up to 50% annually
