• DWU Blue & White Days to Feature Homecoming Concert; Performing Arts Schedule Released

    MITCHELL – The Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Music will debut their 2022-23 season as part of Blue & White Days with a Homecoming concert on Sunday, Oct. 2, in the Sherman Center of the DWU campus. Performing will be the Dakota Wesleyan Choir, the DWU Jazz Band, the Highlanders, the Wesleyan Band, and the Wesleyan Bells.
     
    This year’s upcoming musical performances include:
    LyricWood Concert, Sunday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m.
    Wesleyan Band Tour, Nov. 3 - 6
    Christmas at Dakota Wesleyan Concert, Friday, Dec. 9, 7 p.m.
    Choirs and Bells Christmas Tour, Dec. 10-11
    Midwinter Concert, Sunday, Feb. 26, 4 p.m.
    Highlanders and Wesleyan Bells Tour, Apr. 13 - 16
    Spring Concert, Sunday, Apr. 23, 4 p.m.
     
    The Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Theatre has a full schedule of events for the year. To kick off the season is “She Kills Monsters,” a drama-comedy by Qui Nguyen, on Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 14-15 and 21-22 at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, Oct. 16 and 23 at 2 p.m. in the DWU Black Box Theatre.
     
    This year’s theatrical performances and events include:
    “Sylvia,” by A.R. Gurney, Nov. 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. in the DWU Black Box Theatre.
    Student Directed One-Acts, Dec. 6-8 at 7:30 p.m. in the DWU Black Box Theatre.
    “Time Stands Still” by Donald Marguliles, guest director Trisha Burke, Fridays and Saturdays, Mar. 24-25 and 31 and Apr. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, Mar. 26 and Apr. 2 at 2 p.m. in the DWU Black Box Theatre.
