Mitchell, S.D. – The Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce, Development Corporation, CVB and Mitchell Main Street & Beyond will host “Renew, Recharge, Reinvigorate Your Community,” at 4 p.m., Feb. 5, 2109, at The Depot Freight House room. The event is open to the public, and paid preregistration is required.

Presenter Ed Nichols of ENspire Consulting will challenge attendees to envision Mitchell’s successful future. He has led strategic planning and team-building processes for school systems, health care organizations, business teams and nonprofit organizations across the U.S. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Tennessee and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Alabama.

“I’ve worked with Ed in the past,” said Mark Vaux, MADC and Chamber executive director, “and he is an inspirational presenter and an expert in helping communities and organizations begin their strategic planning process.”

Nichols will be in Mitchell to facilitate a planning session with the MADC, Chamber, CVB and MMS&B boards of directors. His Tuesday afternoon keynote is meant to jumpstart the process, which will take place the following day.

Local businesses and organizations are welcome to attend the event, which is $25 for members of the four business organizations, and $30 for all others. Register here.
