Chalk the Walk 2026

Chalk the Walk is a statewide initiative led by Lost&Found to raise awareness during Suicide Prevention Month and spread messages of hope, kindness, and support. Taking place on Thursday, September 10, 2026 (World Suicide Prevention Day), businesses and organizations are invited to participate by chalking encouraging messages at their locations.

What began as a student-led effort has grown into a movement with 250+ organizations participating across South Dakota. By joining, businesses help create visible reminders that people are not alone while promoting kindness and help-seeking. It’s a simple, meaningful way to make a lasting impact in your community.
