National Archaeology Day

Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 is National Archaeology Day. The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village, South Dakota's only archaeological site open to the public, will observe it with an exhibition of posters and artifacts from archaeological sites around the world. The exhibit will remain in place until the end of October. To honor one of the most famous archaeologists in recent history, Indiana Jones, anyone who wears a fedora to the Village on October 22nd will receive free admission!
