The City of Mitchell is accepting applications for part-time bus operators working up to 30 hours per week for the Palace Transit Service. This position will also receive South Dakota Retirement (SDRS) benefits. Applicants must be 21 or older. Starting wage is $21.394 per hour.. Applicants should have, or be able to obtain a CDL (commercial driver's license) with a passenger endorsement -- assistance will be provided if help is needed to obtain this certification. Bus Operators transport passengers within City Limits, complete required paperwork and reports, adhere to all traffic laws, follow routes by operating a computerized routing system in the vehicle, keep the bus fueled and clean, and provide friendly and effective customer service.
