Corn Palace Calling all Veteran and Active Military to help decorate after Dedication Ceremony
Mitchell, SD – The City of Mitchell and the World’s Only Corn Palace is calling all Veteran and Active Military to help decorate a Corn Palace mural following the Corn Palace Mural Dedication at 12pm Noon on Friday October 26th. All able-bodied Veterans and Active Military will have the opportunity to go up on a lift to hang a piece of corn on the USS South Dakota (SSN 790) Mural.
“We want this to be a special day for all Veteran’s and Active Military.” said, Scott Schmidt, Director of the World’s Only Corn Palace. “We enjoy the freedoms we have today due to the sacrifice these men and women made. We saw it fitting to have our Veterans and Active Military help be a part of history on this memorable day dedicating the murals in a “Salute to Military”.
