Manufacturing Week Celebrates Local Innovation and Education
Mitchell, SD — Get ready for an exciting celebration of innovation and education as Manufacturing Week gears up to run from October 2nd to October 7th. Kicking off the festivities, the Mitchell Area Manufacturers Association (MAMA) sponsored FREE popcorn at the Mitchell Kernel football game last Friday. This sets the stage for a week that promises to showcase the local manufacturers.
MAMA's dedication to education takes center stage on October 3rd and 4th, when they will be at Mitchell Middle School, engaging with 6th and 8th-grade Career & Technical Education (CTE) classes. This interactive experience will allow students to explore the diverse world of manufacturing and inspire future career paths in this vital industry.
Manufacturing enthusiasts won't want to miss the opportunity to go behind the scenes on Thursday, October 5th, with hourly tours at Trail King Industries from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. Proper clothing is required.
The celebration continues with Graphic Packaging's open house on Saturday, October 9th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, offering a firsthand look at the products manufactured locally and enjoy food, games and fun.
Manufacturing Week promises to be an educational and inspiring experience for all ages, highlighting the innovation and craftsmanship that defines our local manufacturing community.
