Job Summary
Countryside Senior Living is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Kitchen Assistant to help provide an enjoyable dining experience for our residents. This position supports meal service by assisting with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining a clean dining room and kitchen, and following all food safety and sanitation standards.
Much of the work is completed independently, but you'll also be part of a supportive dietary team that works together to provide excellent service to our residents every day.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the cook with meal preparation for more than 80 residents under the direction of the Kitchen Manager or Cook
- Set up dining rooms and tables to create a clean, welcoming dining environment
- Serve meals and deliver trays to residents as needed
- Clear tables and remove dishes promptly following meals
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, equipment, and dining areas
- Dispose of trash and food waste according to facility procedures
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive team environment
- Flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays
- No previous experience required—we're happy to train the right person!
- Starting wage of $14.50 per hour
